It is estimated that over 200 million women worldwide are affected by pigmentation concerns. This is a skincare issue found across society and can affect anyone irrespective of age or ethnic background.
Drawing upon their extensive experience in aesthetic medicine, French skincare experts Filorga have developed their new Skin-Unify range – the triple correction skincare solution designed to reduce dark spots and reveal an even, radiant skin.
Ideal for women who wish to simultaneously treat dark spots, an uneven complexion and a lack of radiance, the three-product range includes:
- Skin-Unify Illuminating Even Skin Tone Serum
- Skin Unify Illuminating Even Skin Tone Cream
- Skin Unify Radiance Illuminating Perfecting Fluid
All three contain the same powerful active ingredients inspired by the latest aesthetic medicine techniques for even and radiant skin:
Anti-dark spot action (inspired by laser treatment)
Vitamin C is combined with glabridin (licorice root extract) work in combination on the synthesis of melanin, the pigment responsible for dark spots. They also have an antioxidant action that limits the colouration of this melanin, resulting in a reduction in the intensity of dark spots.
An algae extract from Cystoseira tamariscifolia (an algae grown in Brittany and nicknamed “rainbow wrack” due to its light-reflecting iridescent properties) acts on both melanin production and the degradation of melanosomes, the vesicles that contain melanin. By activating their degradation (much like laser treatment destroys pigments) this active ingredient helps to brighten dark spots.
Even skin tone action (inspire by chemical peels)
A plant-derived resurfacing active ingredient – Achillea millefolium extract – accelerates the renewal of the dermis for a more even skin. It improves cell communication by stimulating the neuroreceptors, which have an essential role in cell renewal and in its differentiation process.
Illuminating action (inspired by medical strobing)
A high molecular weight hyaluronic acid (1,000 to 1,400 kDA) is encapsulated in microspheres. These penetrate the deepest layers of the skin and gradually supply the hyaluronic acid to plump the skin at the deepest layers. The fullness of the skin is restored and it is left smoother and able to reflect light better.
Skin-Unify intensive Illuminating Even Skin Tone Serum
In addition to its three main active ingredients, this potent serum contains a biomimetic peptide that mimics EGCG – a polyphenol found in abundance in green tea. This acts as a powerful antioxidant and protects the skin from pollution to block the effects of the toxins responsible for the appearance of dark spots and a dull complexion. This serum has a light, melt-in texture with a silky finish.
Skin-Unify Illuminating Even Skin Tone Cream
Whilst dark spots, uneven skin tone and lack of radiance are tackled by the powerful active ingredients deep within the skin, this cream also contains optimally concentrated invisible optical soft-focus agents that melt into the skin to provide a more even complexion from the first application. This moisturiser has a luxurious, creamy texture.
Skin Unify Radiance Illuminating Perfecting Fluid
The perfect final touch to your skincare routine, this perfecting fluid is infused with iridescent pearlescent particles that melt into the skin for instant and radical radiance. With a pearlescent fluid texture, it can be applied just prior to makeup for an instant glow.
Comments Filorga International Medical Advisor, Dr. Riekie Smit, “The Skin-Unify range has proven to be extremely effective at reducing the intensity and size of dark spots, with results showing a more even and luminous complexion after just seven days. It is perfect for women wishing to treat dark spots, an uneven complexion, a lack of radiance or all three!”
